The latest medical studies say YES! You’ve probably heard by now of the many articles and studies of how sitting for long periods of time is detrimental to your health…….and not just detrimental! Some studies, if not all of them, go on to say that sitting down can kill you. Which is just as bad as detrimental or Worse!! Anyway, This is definitely the kind of “Bad News” that you want to remain standing for! So, on list of things that are bad for your health and that can possibly kill you can, go right ahead and add to the top of the list – That’s’ Right! Your Chair!
The truth of the matter is that 99% of us spend the majority of our day sitting on our four point of contact. For years the experts and conventional wisdom have been telling you that if you eat sensibly, if you don’t drink alcohol or smoke, if you exercise, you will lower the risk of developing diabetes, heart disease, obesity, cancer so on and so forth. Well you can throw that out the window because it turns out that sitting down for long periods of the day is just as bad of a health risk as is smoking three packs of Marlboro Cigarettes on a daily basis and 30 minutes of exercise a day will do very little if anything for you if you sit on your duff all day.

Before you do anything in this industry you must believe that you’re going to do it.

1. If you want to have “X” amount of sales you must believe it is going to happen for you! This is basic but a lot of people do not take this serious…
2. As a marketer you need a clear message. Why did you become a marketer?
3. Remove the word TRY from your vocab.
4. How you talk about what you do matters.
5. Get emotionally attached to the reason why you’re doing this biz, in order to get other people emotionally attached to your and their biz. Re: your message, ask what do you stand for.
6. As a marketer you must be authentic, don’t try to be someone you’re not…. DO NOT TALK ABOUT YOUR STRUGGLES UNTIL YOU’VE OVERCOME THEM!
7. You have to be passionate about internet marketing, it is the best industry bar none.
8. As a marketer you must know that people buy based on ambition, why because people want freedom, people don’t care what you’re selling, they don’t care about the comp plan, people don’t buy what you sell they buy what you feel about what you sell. Start talking to people from your passion from what is burning inside of you , talk to them about their goals, ambitions, talk to them about what they want freedom! If you can authentically communicate freedom you have a customer or biz partner!
9. Claim a leadership position in this industry by the actions you take. This will 10X your biz ,, so how do you claim a leadership position? You say ,”I will be a leader” you have to be a leader to yourself first w/out anyone following you… when you make that decision, people will begin to follow you. Build on small successes.
10. Whenever you have small successes share them, and share how you did it, stay humble. Share with people what works for you and they will follow you.

1. Start Weight Lifting - Learn proper techniques. Progressive overload is a theory that suggests you to increase your weight to overload the muscle in order to force it to grow. Add weight each workout to keep pushing your body out of comfort zone. These increments are small, 2.5 - 5 lbs increase per exercise.

2. Do Calisthenics or Compound Exercises . Push-ups, Pull-ups, Dips, Pistols, Reverse Crunches, etc. These exercises are functional and encourage your body to use primary muscle groups, secondary muscle groups, stabilizing muscles as well as your core. Add weight when these exercises get easy.

3. Train Muscles Till Fatigue: You need to tear down the muscle fibers in order for your body to repair it and build new muscles to support the work load. A good sign of new muscle growth is fatigue, due to a build up of lactic acid.

4. Use Free Weights. Stay away from machines as it makes most exercises easier because it eliminate your body from using stabilizing muscles and your core. Shoulders are the most prone to being injured because of the small muscles that support it; don't use heavy weights, work your way up to lifting heavy.

5. Eat Whole Foods. Eat whole foods 98% of the time. Don't eat food coming from a box. You’ll achieve a lower body fat, and will be able to maintain & increase muscle mass much more dramatically. Your body needs vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients content for recovery. This only come from whole organic food.

Each year, I pick a bible verse as my theme for the New Year. As I considered which bible verse would guide me in 2010, I thought it would be helpful to share some of my favorites. Use these bible verses in the good and tough times in your small business.
1. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your path.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) Learn something every day. If you only lean on your own knowledge in your business, you will not be able to grow. You must grow yourself to grow your business
2. “Behold, I am doing something new! It’s already happening; don’t you recognize it? I will clear a way in the desert. I will make rivers on dry land.” Isaiah 43:19 (GOD’S WORD® Translation) Sometimes your business will need to move as the market pulls you in a different direction. You might need to reinvent your business, and you should not be afraid. God’s always got your back.
3.”Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6 (NIV) One of the most important things you can do for your business is to pray every day.

You will get another opportunity and even if you don’t, God is with you always.

7. “God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love and sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) Making decisions in your small business based on fear is never helpful. For that matter making decisions in anger is not good either. Try hard not to be reactionary with clients, vendors or employees. Use factual information and up-to date financials to make sound business decisions.
8. “But these things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day.” Habakkuk 2:3 (TLB) You need to understand that God’s time is not your time. There may come a time in your business when you just know you have a contract, one that you really need and things fall through. Those are the times when you need to trust in the Lord the most. When we accept God’s timing, we can learn to live in hope and enjoy our lives while God is working on our problems.
9. “Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding;” Proverbs 3:13 (NIV) You need to be a life long learner in order to be successful in business. You should constantly seek to improve yourself and increase your knowledge about the business of running a business.
10. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (NIV) This is my new bible verse for 2010. It came to me watching a college football game. I believe I was only watching the game to see it.
Remember, whether you are religious or not you can always pray about your business.
